Who is Bryant Stewart?

Hova..
On Tuesday, November 10th I was FINALLY able to witness Jay-Z in person. I've been WAITING for this man to come back to Texas for the longest. When I found out he was coming...best believe I bought these tickets with haste. Seats were good, on the floor. I should have rethought my choice of shoes that night...but other than that, the show was amazing. N.E.R.D. was phenomenal of course, but I missed J.Cole. If anything I wanted to see him other than Jay.
Anyways, I had mixed feelings on the Blueprint 3 when it dropped. First listen...I didn't like it. It was in no way..a "growth" of Jay I felt. I felt that the tactics he used when making this album were mediocre and not on the same level and route he used when creating the Black Album, or Blueprints 1 & 2. Second listen...I realized I was a bit closed minded the first time through. I guess it was just me being bitter about rappers feeling that everything they touch these days are certified hot because of one's status. I got over that though and realized that a handful of these tracks were actually decent../and well hot. Now AFTER the concert...seems like I found this new found appreciation for the album and Jay-Z as a whole. I guess it's having that connection with the song and the artist..a personal connection. Knowing that I was there to experience history, knowing that I was there hearing the lyrics reproduced raw made everything 10x better then it really was. Everything about that night was simply amazing.
If you haven't been able to experience this man live...get on that. It's that serious. Experience history.

I'm 20.
Let's see...two days ago I turned 20 years old on the 2oth of October. I was born in the 80s...1989 to be exact. It's 2009. I just can't believe I'm this...old. This...grown. This mature. I remember being a kid, waiting for these days. Seemed as if it would never come really, and its here. I'm in my 3rd year of college, with 3 semesters left to go, with a handful of classes left to take. This journey called "college" went by fast man. I'm pretty sure it was just yesterday when I was 17 loading my things into Butler Hall on a rainy...ugly day. I'm at the point where I'm asking myself..."where to now?" Where to after I graduate?
Who knows. I guess we'll see.
Who knows. I guess we'll see.
good day
next blog... jay-z concert recap, nov 11.

Lace and print in a heel, I have never seen this.
It's beautiful.

MAN ON THE MOON. Kid Cudi. Scott Mescudi. THE END OF THE DAY.
I'll be up up and away up up and away...cause in the end they'll judge me anyway, so whatever.

MAN ON THE MOON: THE END OF THE DAY.
I want to say so much about this album, but I feel like I can't get the words out on this one. I'm so excited that I have a new album to enjoy. This album takes me on a journey. Really. It's like a movie. It has scenes. The day in the life of Scott, narrated by Common. It makes me happy, it gets me motivated, it allows me to relate.
This album is up there as one of my favorite albums of the year along with UKNOWBIGSEAN & Gone Fishing. I think this album will either be a hit or miss with people. If you have an appreciation for melodies and good hooks vs heavy raps then I think you would appreciate this. If you liked 808s, you would like this. However, if you're big on Z-Ro, trae, etc and that style of music...you may not like this. I think people have to approach this with an open mind. Hiphop has SO MANY forms of itself.
There were a lot of songs that I heard on the album prior to its release such as Sky Might Fall, Mr. Solo Dolo, Make Her Say, and Pursuit of Happiness...I love all of those. However when I did my first listen through, my favorite track new to my ears is "Hyyerr." It's so...chill. It's one of those songs I'll just put on when I'm in a whatever mood. Like, nothing matters right now but my being and this song.
Sky Might Fall produced by Kanye. This song is for those bad days...where you really are thinking that the sky might fall, but it makes you realize..everything will be okay. Pursuit of Happiness man...heard this song on the David Letterman show I think when he performed. Who isn't in a pursuit of happiness? Whether you find your happiness in alcohol, drugs, people, success, money or love. Everyone is always in that route to be HAPPY. This song makes me feel like everything is going to be okay. He says..."I'll be fine once I get it. I'll be good.." Really though. You just gotta find that ONE thing that will make everything good in your world. Good luck in your route. :) and lastly...MY WORLD. "One day..this will be my world. (I told you so.)"

Trey & Jay
Trey Songz - Ready

Ok, the first time I listened to it...I only half of me was there. Now listening to it again, its not HORRIBLE. Its...okay. Empire State of Mind, Real As It Gets, So Ambitious, and Forever Young are pretty good. I like Forever Young because I liked the original version of the song and the feel it gives. I don't really like Off That feat. Drake too much, and I wish he would have given Kid Cudi some bars on his Already Home track, he's not just a hook man people. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about J.Cole. I think I need to go give more of his stuff a listen. So there, I take back what I said. The Blueprint 3 isn't that much of a disappointment, but it will never touch Blueprints 1 & 2.

Casey Veggies - ADayInTheLifeOfCaseyVeggies

I tell my friends all the time about you, so i would really be quiet without you. Do you feel special that this rap is for you? When you hung up on me I wanted to to tear you in two. What am I supposed to do? All my lines stay true. Look in your eyes make me blue, then they turn red n I'm all in your head we can sit and watch TV and lay in my bed. my mom will take you home later, im always doing favors cause im lovin every flavor, sweet like a lifesaver your a lifesaver. cause you change my thoughts. thats why when we hit the movies your ticket gets bought. and if a nigga tried to talk to you he's gonna get hawked down, i hate that shit. I will never get between another dude and his girl so why all the lame dudes tryin to ruin my world. he callin your phone n its makin me hurl. i wanna pick up the phone n say this is my girl, what you need what you want and im not even gonna front you get on my nerves go fly on the bird and go back where you came from you lil lame chump. but im gonna chill im just tryin to keep it real. im gonna try and give you kisses girl and show you how I feel. its like me and you runnin up a steep hill and if i get tired you keep goin and a nigga get fired i'm on fire when you make me mad. Im writin raps spillin it out hopin it don't get too bad. i wanna support you in anyway no one ever had. and when i blow up with rap youre gonna have everything you ever wanted and never had...
CASEY VEGGIES.
He's only 16. He is really mature for his age. Really. People say he's a "lil nigga with a OG flow", and that's real. Give his mixtape a listen, its GOOD! This song up here...I love it. If a dude can't express how he feel's about someone..do it in song. That track is so heartfelt, his girl is really lucky. I'm Right Here is his single out right now, there's a video for it floating around somewhere on youtube. Definitely is not a waste of your time. I'm just still stuck on the fact that he was BORN IN 1993 and he's thissssssssss GOOD! Only where from here is up.
Drizzy. Kanye. Wanye. Eminem. Thumbs Up.

More new new.
When you're dead broke I make you feel rich you say? I know. I know. jk jk
Anyways, I like this song a bit. I think because of the video...I like it a bit more. Black and white, I dig I dig. Video that matches the lyrics...I dig I dig. Good concept, good feel. Really though, when the money goes...will the honeys stay? Most of the time? No. I'm no expert..but for those men in the industry, the talent..that got you you're money is why they are there. Seems like broads these days only see the glitz and the glamour. Live a little people, and ladies...be real.September 11th - Blueprint 3 drops.

September 15th - Man on THE MOON drops & So Far Gone retail release...

Jk...I have a lot to say, but I'll keep it short. Met this young cat...last day in July. He's just..so REAL about everything. Sure he has all his fame and upcoming fortune and what not...but he has not been bamboozeled by all the flashing lights stardom has to offer. Good for him, and I cannot wait until his debut album drops. SEPTEMBER 15TH SEPTEMBER 15 SEPTEMBER 15TH. DO NOT COP SO FAR GONE WHEN YOU CAN GET IT FOR FREE. Really Drake? Really? Selling a free mixtape retail? I smell Young Money all over this. Also on a side note...I heard Bow Wow is the newest addition to the Young Moola fam. Bow Wow, you are wack, you have been wack...and now that you've jumped on the bandwagon of "young money" you therefore are even more wack to the 10th degree. Stop. Now. Please. You will not sell more records and you will forever be lame. Though I was jamming Let Me Hold You Down in my car a while ago...I'm sorry this move will not help you. Off of my soap Box. I do not like the re-release of So Far Gone and I feel like its taking away the integrity of what a MIXTAPE IS. ANYWAYS my reason for this post..SEPTEMBER 15TH, MAN ON THE MOON, KID CUDI. do not sleep. please? k? k.
New Music...Tuesday.
First of all. Keri Hilson is fierce.
R.Kelly on the other hand...I don't like his white framed sunglasses and he needs to stop singing about sex. Really.
I think this song...is okay actually. Not too bad. I think it'll have people slow dancing if you throw this on in the club...Now the video on the other hand. A radio station...really? It could have been better...but still, everything's better then the Best I Ever had video.

little...BIG sean. /does he really need an intro?/
I've got goals...I've got dreams, I'm infatuated with nice things. I love money, it might seem. This is my desire want and need.
I was actually going to write a real blog, but...I've been listening to this mixtape lately, and I believe...it deserves its own post. Detroit's own, Big Sean, signed to Good Music...has a quality mixtape. Yes I said it, QUALITY!

And, I know...I'm a few months late on this one. But oh well...better I came across it now than never. He has this specific flow style that sets him apart, listen to Supa Dupa to see what I mean.
I like... Intro; Desire,Want & Need; Who Knows; Million Dollars; Mr. Incredible; Love Story; Supa Dupa; Star Struck; and Paper Chaser.
His single Getcha Some however, I don't really care for that track.

The list.
My checklist that inevitably keeps me single despite my unparalleled levels of amazing.
1)They have to be tall. I think just about every woman wants a man taller than themselves, except the...exception of course. I think there is a feeling about tall men that make women feel...secure in a way. Who knows. I like them tall...or well taller than me.
2)EDUCATED. INFORMED. INTELLIGENT. What woman wants an IGNORANT man? No woman. I'm not asking that you graduate from an Ivy League school, but...just know something about whats going on in the world. Think beyond and reach for far.
3)Be about something. I know some people who are about partying, drinking, sex, and the fast life. That's it. Monday through Sunday, you could guess what their week consisted of. But...doesn't that get old though? One could only imagine. Doing something day by day...week by week...would easily get old, VERY quickly. Start a business, have a goal in life. Aspire to do more in life rather than to just stay within the boundaries of the city you grew up in.
4)Fit. Body rather than no body IS ALWAYS BETTER. ALWAYS.
5)Sense of humor. They say that you extend your life by more than 64.21% everytime you laugh. I love to laugh. LOVE. to laugh. the funnier you are, you keep me around longer.
6)Just...HONEST. and REAL. No need to lie. No need to brag about something you don't have. No need to make up excuses. Believe me, you never want to be "fraud."
7)You are making your own money. We are grown. I hope you have a job.
8)Some sort of relationship with God. You may not go to church every Sunday like you originally planned, you may not pray everynight. It's okay, as long as you know him.
9)You must have a CAR. NO exceptions.
10)Good Style. Style. Style. If you can dress...you got in the bag. Ok, not really. Big big ups though for that.
11)GREAT CONVERSATION. Important. If you cannot hold a decent converstation, just go ahead and scratch your name off the list. I get bored very easily, and if I get bored talking to you...sorry buddy. Learn some efficent communication skills.
12)& they gotta be cute. what first attracts? appearances. lets be real.
13)LASTLY. SINGLE. If you got a girl...why are you talking to me? Why...why are you trying to be friends when we both know what your really up to. Let's not get CAUGHT UP NOW.
I'm not saying that every man that approaches me has to meet this requirements...but this is just simply a list of all of my wants. A list that makes up my perfect man.

Verse 1

and she known to be a cheater but thats only if you let her
yea..and i got it together so when they talk they try to turn me its like whatever
…tell em’ i appreciate the help but i just gotta know for myself
Verse 2
this lifestyle is foul this shit’ll damage her
especially when you think nobody is understanding ya
these girls groups with they overprotected managers
got paparazzi over my shoulders clickin they cam-er-a
snap snap snap until they runnin outta card space
you remind me of Tony’s sister in scarface
just take it easy on love and slow ya heart rate
girl its graces on top is such a hard place
yea..but if you never even been there
you kinda make sense why you dying of pretendin
spillin all ya drinks takin pictures of ya swimwear
head up in the clouds you survivin on the thin air
i know that shit is exhausting girl
and your mistakes are costing girl
and maybe you dont need the help but I just wanna see for myself
I like this song.

Make Her Say
She said she want whatever she like
She said she gone’ bring her friend
Now we gone’ have a hell of a night
Through the day
I made her say
Hold up, born in 88;
How old is that? Old enough
I got seniority with the sorority
So, that explain why I love college
Gettin’ brain in the library cause I love knowledge
When you use your Medulla Oblongata

the sound of throwin pennies on the ground
"Shuttin shit down in the mall, and telling every boy he's the one for me...and I ain't even planning to call. I want this shit forever man."
I am human. Therefore I think. I have my thoughts, and I'm pretty sure mind readers do not exist. One of my biggest pet peeves are when people try and tell me how I feel and what I'm thinking. Since when did I give you the wheel? Never did boo. People do a lot of assuming, and that is what gets them in trouble...because you really have no idea. Now with that song quote up there, don't over think it. It's lyrics. Not necessarily the truth. I try and shut down the mall, but I'm not rich... so therefore I cannot do that. I can wish though huh, I try. Ha. I try and be the player type cause dudes are fraud these days...but I can't. Doesn't set on my conscious right. "Don't put all of your eggs into one basket," someone once told me. "Its like a game of survivor...you're trying to see who is going to make it to the finish line." All I really ever want is music, success, friendship, and love. That's it. Set everything childish aside.
I can't wait for the day until I can live, live without all of these restrictions. Money. Age. Sex. Class. Race.
Time for good music:
Weekend Girls - The Cool Kids
Summer Vacations pretty good too.

AMAZING.
Where to now...?
Through life, I've always had this vision of where I want to be. I want to live here, do this, make this, etc. A good, exciting life is the gist of what I want. The scary part of this journey...is the unknowing. Not knowing if the route you decide to take was the right decision. Like, dang...I should have made a right vs that left. Seems like if life had a GPS system, things would be so much easier. It'll give you every direction, every step you need to take to get you to where you want to be. It'll let you know the people you should have avoided, the people you should get to know. Should I go to school or should I just take a chance and hope for the best? So many questions, so many possibilities. The rest of your life...its a scary thought really.

KiD CuDi should be releasing the music video for "I Poke Her Face," feat. Kanye & Common sometime soon. Love the song, so I just want a good video...can it match at least? We'll see...hopefully Kanye doesn't eff this one up. (Still got love for you though Ye. lol)
Her concert made me realize how much I LOVE her music. She's always been great...but it seems like you just see her in a new light, after the experience. Songs always on point, when you can't get out what you want to say about a certain person or situation, there is ALWAYS a song of hers to help you express that. Me, Myself & I. That's all I've got in the end.

Look at meMr. Solo Dolo. CuDi really is off in his own world when he does his stuff. I guess thats why I like him. Really some...man on the moon type ish. Speaks straight off his mind and expresses what he's feeling, no filters involved...but then again that could be with the aid of his good friend, his BLUNT. hahaha Do what you do, just continue to make good music. [Tim Westwood Freestyle] - he killed it.
You tell me
Just what you see
Am I, someone whom, you may love, or enemy
Am I speakin' for, you and yours, or someone else
I need some answers
Yeah Yeah
Why must it feel so right when I know that it,s wrong, it's wrongLast note, saw Beyonce tonight. She is a phenomenal woman. Really. Big ol bag of inspiration. She literally is one of those women who will go down in history. Get the chance to see her if you can, at least once in your lifetime...something. You'll enjoy it.
When will I ever learn from the words in my songs
I'm, Mr. Solo Dolo.

"Best I Ever Had" Video Review
No Drizzy. No. Kanye, this is BORING. I don't think this video reached the full potential of the song. What is big breasted women with little to no clothes on supposed to do for this video? Make it float? I guess in that aspect it only appeals to the male fan base, but still. Kanye could have done better then this. I don't see where basketball and "best you ever had" fit well. Really. I'm lost. Aubrey, for your second music video, it's okay. I'll be expecting better from you in the future though. Don't get me wrong though, great song...but video could have been better. That's all i'm trying to get accross.
Also, I didn't feel that there would be a need for this video. Remember back in 04/05 when Lovers and Friends came out and was played so much on the radio, many people wanted a video made...but the video was never put into production? This should have been one of those cases. He should have just had the first single run on the radio, and release a music video for another one of his tracks....vs a track that is already overplayed on every national radio station. Just my two cents.

Where to now...?
TATTOO.
" Where to now...??"
Don't you ever feel like after you've came and concured a specific thing...there's always that thought...where to now? what next? All I know is that I know where I want to be...and hopefully I arrive, soon.
CONCERTS----------------------
Primero: Beyonce. July 4th. I'm ready. During your lifetime, anywhere in your lifetime...you must witness the legend(or well...soon to be legend.)
Segundo: AUGUST 22ND. DRAKE. WAYNE. JEEZY. etc...
First, I could care less about Jeezy, n "SOULJA BOY TELL EM." WHO AGREED TO LET DEANDRE WAY ON THIS TOUR?! Ok, I'll give him his props, for as young as he is...he has definately played his cards right, but still. Jeezy, never really liked him. Weezy, well...who doesn't like Weezy? Drake...you got the world boy. Ah and isn't Pleasure P on this as well? That should be a nice touch. Anyways, if you're not at this concert, you're missing out...and sucks for you! I think this will make...my 4th time seeing Drake, 3rd Weezy, 2nd Soulja Boy...n 1st for the rest of em. Concert junkie...really. Its bad. Life is almost like a breath of fresh air after one...really.
Third: OCTOBER 6TH. KINGS OF LEON.
Let me repeat. If you have not listed to ONLY BY THE NIGHT, then do it. Do it now. Even if you don't really listen to rock/alternative rock. I promise you you'll it. :) Really. Nothing but good things to say about these guys. I just can't wait to experience their music live, so much...passion.
COSTA RICA 09
Lets see...came to Costa Rica and beasted it. I've done...SO MUCH here. Partied with some cool a white people, lol that was a new experience. Got my first tattoo. Had my first of many Long Island Iced Teas...!!!! Kind of sort of learned how to swim. Spent 3/4 weekends here on a beach. Used a payphone. Relied on the public bus system EVERYDAY. Woke up at 6:30AM every morning.
Fun times, good people met. I had a great time. Thanks to this whole month of living in Costa Rica I am now a morning person who cannot sleep past 8AM. haha. Oh how hard I try to sleep in, I just can't do it! Lets see...Rice and Beans. Drinks. Drinks. Drinks. I will miss the! lol, here I was technically legal...since the drinking age is 18. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
