Hova..

On Tuesday, November 10th I was FINALLY able to witness Jay-Z in person. I've been WAITING for this man to come back to Texas for the longest. When I found out he was coming...best believe I bought these tickets with haste. Seats were good, on the floor. I should have rethought my choice of shoes that night...but other than that, the show was amazing. N.E.R.D. was phenomenal of course, but I missed J.Cole. If anything I wanted to see him other than Jay.

Anyways, I had mixed feelings on the Blueprint 3 when it dropped. First listen...I didn't like it. It was in no way..a "growth" of Jay I felt. I felt that the tactics he used when making this album were mediocre and not on the same level and route he used when creating the Black Album, or Blueprints 1 & 2. Second listen...I realized I was a bit closed minded the first time through. I guess it was just me being bitter about rappers feeling that everything they touch these days are certified hot because of one's status. I got over that though and realized that a handful of these tracks were actually decent../and well hot. Now AFTER the concert...seems like I found this new found appreciation for the album and Jay-Z as a whole. I guess it's having that connection with the song and the artist..a personal connection. Knowing that I was there to experience history, knowing that I was there hearing the lyrics reproduced raw made everything 10x better then it really was. Everything about that night was simply amazing.

If you haven't been able to experience this man live...get on that. It's that serious. Experience history.
